Two years ago, I shared a video featuring book recommendations. Since then, I've been expanding my design skills, exploring various genres of books, and gaining different perspectives on design. This journey has led to a deeper understanding of design. I'm excited to update you with a new list of recommendations! Feel free to watch my old video for some ideas, and check out the latest recommendations below!.

About face by Alan Cooper,  Robert Reimann,  David Cronin

This book is almost a bible of interaction design. It covers everything about project processes, goal-oriented design, persona development and windows, dialogs, controls, and user feedback. It's very comprehensive and well represented. After reading the first third, you can use the rest for reference (as needed when implementing interaction designs such as drag and drop).

This book equips you with the tools to explain your reasoning, pitch your design ideas persuasively, and listen attentively to feedback. Inspired by Marty Cagan

I vividly recall the day I attended a designer meeting in Toronto when I was just starting to learn about UX. I noticed that some people introduced themselves as UI/UX designers, while others referred to themselves as product designers. Curious, I couldn't resist asking what the difference was. One designer responded that they're interchangeable terms. However, it wasn't until I actually worked as a product designer that I truly grasped the distinction. This book is a must-read for anyone looking to understand the product industry and how product teams work uniquely. I guarantee that this book will provide you with a deep understanding of how product managers, product designers, and engineers collaborate within a product team setup, as well as your specific responsibilities as a product designer.

It goes without saying that designers should aim to master their craftsmanship skill. Once you learn design principles, you can apply them to a variety of design fields. Vignelli explains these principles succinctly, and the book is short and easy to read. I treasure this book and continue to refer to it in my practice.

Speaking of usability, the book is now considered a bible in the industry. Steve Krug has a lot of fun with web usability, and his light-hearted writing style helps him draw attention from start to finish. The short, clear book consists of hundreds of pages, but with its vivid, clear layout, it is very useful and easily accessible. This book provides great insights into users' behaviors and cognitive processes. As designers, we must understand their users' needs and preferences, and this book is the perfect tool to help them. It is highly recommended not only for designers, but also for users who experience designers, interaction designers, web designers, graphic designers, or anyone who works in any design field. Lean UX by Josh Seiden, Josh Seiden

What's interesting about this book is that it incorporates user experience design into an agile workflow. The idea of collaborative design and collaborative evaluation is appealing. This book will provide you with valuable information, especially if the research and analysis described in this process seem to be quite lacking when you have to deal with complex tasks. I recommend you to read it if you have time.
