Hazelsong and G2, side by side

G2 is a marketplace where software buyers read reviews, with plans for the vendors listed on it; Hazelsong collects testimonials and publishes them on your own pages. Compare what each charges and what each lets you do with your customers' words.

Every figure about G2 was read off its own pricing page on October 17, 2026. Where its page says nothing, this page says nothing either.

Working with Hazelsong

  1. Video and voice, on every plan

Your customer can record instead of type, on the free plan too, and the original file comes back to you at the quality it was recorded.

  2. On your own pages, under your own name

Walls and widgets go on your site; from Starter the form and the wall can live on your own domain, with your logo and color and no Hazelsong credit.

  3. Permission that is enforced, not only recorded

The website and social answers decide what may be served, on every request. Hazelsong places no ads, so that answer is recorded and handed to you.

  4. Read for risk before you publish

A promised result, a named third party, a regulated claim, a personal detail — flagged on arrival, on Starter and Pro within the month's readings.

  5. A public record for each testimonial

Every testimonial you publish links to its own record: how it arrived, what permission was given, whether anything was removed and whether a reward was attached.

Trade-offs to consider

Consider these limits alongside the prices and features above.

  • Hazelsong is new and has no public record of customers yet.
  • Hazelsong is not a marketplace software buyers browse: it publishes on your own pages and brings you no audience of its own.
  • G2's plans include gift card credits for review campaigns. Hazelsong funds no rewards: an incentive here is yours to give, and it is disclosed.
  • G2 lists badge licenses, from Users Love Us on Free to report, milestone and annual badges on Starter. Hazelsong awards no badges.
  • Hazelsong does not import from G2 automatically: a review comes across by its words and its link, pasted or in a CSV file you upload.

Moving from G2

Bring a supported file, review the preview, and check your permission to republish. Approval and public-page settings are separate.

  1. Gather the words and where they were written

For each review you want, take the quotation and the link to that review. Splitting a long review into the sentences that matter is allowed; rewriting either of them is not.

  2. Paste them, or upload a CSV

On the import page, choose G2 as the source. Paste one at a time, or upload a CSV: columns are read by their header names, and you see which column was read as what, and the first row, before anything is saved.

  3. Review permission and choose where to publish

They arrive in Pending with their source and original date. Approve only material you have permission to republish. Website permission and the project’s publication settings also apply; approving a testimonial does not publish a private project.
